John-Michael and Alexis
John-Michael reached out a couple weeks before his planned proposal. His plan was to propose at a pumpkin patch and for me (Brooklynn) to bring Jamison and our 1.5 year old daughter as a disguise! So when the day came we got to the farm early and waited and watched for the happy couple to arrive. When we spotted them, we followed them around pretending like we were just taking pictures with our daughter.
When Alexis stepped away to use the restroom, it was the perfect time for John-Michael to text me that it was time to go on the hayride to go back to the pumpkin patch. So we ended up sitting across from them on the same hayride over to the pumpkin patch. When we got off and were walking around "looking for a pumpkin", I was positioning my daughter so that by "taking pictures of her" I was actually lined up perfectly to take pictures of John-Michael and Alexis.
When the moment comes, he makes eye contact with me and nods while Alexis's head is turned. He then goes down on one knee and says "how about this pumpkin". When she turns around to see the "pumpkin" she instead sees a beautiful ring and her boyfriend down on one knee. She immediately said yes and kissed him. After awhile John-Michael turns and points to me and says "I even got a photographer" and she cannot believe it and didn't suspect me at all since I had our daughter as a cover haha Neither of them could stop smiling the entire time and it was one of the sweetest things to witness.
After actually getting some pumpkins, John-Michael reveals to Alexis that he has both of their families waiting for them back at the front of the farm to celebrate with them! Overall this was one of the sweetest proposals to capture and even the little bit of rain didn't damper the moment in the slightest.
