A Fall Engagement Session with Downtown Charm
Topher and Hannah knew they wanted their engagement session to feel like them, a perfect blend of cozy fall moments and modern downtown energy. To bring that vision to life, we explored two spots that captured both sides of their story: Provin Trails for those warm, autumn vibes and downtown Grand Rapids for a touch of city romance, including a stop inside the iconic Amway Grand Plaza.
We started the session at Provin Trails, where fall was showing off in the best way. The crisp air, earthy tones, and quiet trails created the perfect backdrop for slow moments and genuine connection. From the very beginning, Topher and Hannah’s love for each other was radiating, it wasn’t something they had to force. Every smile, every laugh, every glance felt natural and full of meaning.
Hannah’s smile and laugh were absolutely contagious. The kind that makes everyone around her feel instantly at ease. Paired with the way Topher looks at her, it was impossible not to feel the joy between them. These two have a way of being completely present with one another, which made documenting their connection feel effortless.
After soaking in the fall scenery, we headed downtown to add a little edge and elegance to the session. The contrast between the city streets and the softness of their connection was magic. Ending the session at the Amway Grand Plaza brought everything together, timeless, romantic, and classic, with just the right amount of downtown charm.
By the end of the session, it felt less like we had just wrapped up photos and more like we were saying goodbye to friends. Topher and Hannah have that rare, genuine energy that pulls people in, and it was such an honor to capture this season of their lives.
